Custom Lucite Acrylic Board for Cold Pressing Comic Books

Always use the same side as the “down” side and keep it free from marks and scratches. We put a sticker on the upper right corner indicating which side to face up.

Lucite is much harder to scratch than other materials but can still be scratched.

Keep a total of about 1.5-2.0 lb on a comic book for about 5 days to cold press by itself, or 10-12 hours after a heat press to reduce “cover rise” and reduce reversion.

See-through lucite to watch when the desired planarity is reached.  Lift the panel a little and if the book wrinkles somewhat then continue pressing.

Cold pressing does not always work effectively but it has its uses and is very easy.

Premium Model: approximately .18″ thickness and 8 ⅞” x 11 ⅞” size. Variation in planar from 9″x12″ size up to +- ⅛” due to cutting precision limitations. Weight approximately 12 ounces.
